Bahrain WEC Rookie Test with Aston Martin – D’Station Racing

What an incredible experience it was to test the D’Station Racing Aston Martin GTE at Bahrain for the WEC Rookie test! I can’t thank Aston Martin Racing enough for providing this opportunity to myself and other young drivers.

What an absolutely amazing day it was! I went into the weekend looking to learn as much as possible and extract the most from the experience. My first time driving a GTE car, first time at Bahrain International Circuit, and first time experiencing the WEC atmosphere – there was a lot to take in!

The day went well and I’m happy with my performance. We were given a 6 lap session to get acquainted with everything, then a 10 lap session with new tires to throw down some fliers. From my standpoint, it was like drinking from a fire hose. This car gave some new feelings I had to quickly adapt to, especially with how much downforce it had! Certainly plenty to take away and learn from the 16 laps we did, and I’m so grateful to have been given this experience.

I’ve been lucky to be part of the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy these past two years and given the chance to build a relationship with them. Thank you again to Aston Martin Racing for making this happen!
