2022 Season Review

Kenton Koch Wins at Mid-Ohio

GT4 Racing Across the Globe

What an incredible year! Competing across a variety of GT4-based series and competing on multiple continents was an experience I’ll never forget. From class victories in the U.S. to making my debut in Europe, every race brought new challenges and unforgettable moments.

Continuing Success with BSport Racing

The year started off with familiar ground, racing in the GT4 America Series with BSport Racing. We went into the season aiming to build on past successes and push for the Pro-Am Championship. Over nine races, we claimed three class victories, including an exhilarating weekend sweep at Sonoma. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances caused us to miss the final event of the season. Even so, we finished sixth in the Pro-Am championship.

Debut in the GT4 European Series

The excitement didn’t stop there. 2022 gave me the opportunity to make my debut in the GT4 European Series, driving alongside Dutch driver Thijmen Nabuurs in a Silver Cup entry fielded by Racing One / Team Spirit Racing. Competing in Europe was an incredible experience; it was a completely different atmosphere from what I’m used to in the U.S. We only competed in the first four rounds, but we managed to secure a tenth-place finish in the Silver Cup championship.

A Prolific Run in the Michelin Pilot Challenge

My most successful program of the year took place in the Michelin Pilot Challenge with some long-time friends of mine at Murillo Racing. I joined forces with Eric Foss after his scheduled co-driver Jeff Mosing suffered a rib injury. From the start, we proved to be a strong pairing. I claimed the GS-class pole in both of my first two races with the team, and we won at both Mid-Ohio and Road America. That win was a highlight of my season, showcasing the hard work and synergy within the team.

Looking Ahead

Reflecting on 2022, it was a year of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences. From the victories in here in the U.S. to the challenges in Europe, every race taught me something new and pushed me to be a better driver. I’m incredibly thankful to my teams, sponsors, and fans for their unwavering support throughout the season.

As I look forward to the future, I’m excited to build on this momentum and take on new challenges. The journey continues, and I’m ready for whatever the next season brings.
